I made this cake for my Dad’s birthday. Top tier is a cake dummy covered in fondant, added for extra height and dimension. Bottom tier is chocolate fudge flavoured, crumb coated in vanilla buttercream and covered with chocolate fondant. The Blue Marlin is sculpted out of gum paste, brown sugar is used to replicate sand and all decorations, excluding the flags, are edible. The cake was inspired by this sculpture my parents have and after their favorite vacation destination, Barbados.
